Pipe viseIn this class, students will enjoy projects that are special to them.  Through following the design process, students will design and create working drawings which they will build their projects from.  Reverse engineering will be explored.

Cardboard boat racesStudents will be learning the fundamentals of Solidworks 2014 from which they will complete various mechanical models.

RocketsThroughout this course, students will eventually 3D print a CO2 car, a rocket, and build a cardboard boat.  All these will be designed on Solidworks.

CO2 CarsThese items will be used to compete against other high schools inMay when WSU hosts their annual engineering competitions.  Students always enjoy these events.


Laser engraved houseIn this class, students will learn building information modeling (BIM).  Revit (3D CAD) will be the CAD program taught for this course.  Students will learn more in-depth room planning, site development, perspective drawings, structural, mechanical systems and electrical plans just to name a few.

This year we are using the program AutoCAD 2015.  Students will be learning the fundamentals of the program  and the concepts of architecture.

We will be drawing a 2-story house with a wrap-around porch a basement.  This will include floor plans and 4 elevations.  We will also add in a stairs detail, wall section and building section.
