6 Panels- 10 points each, 60 points

Information is accurate, 40 points

Each panel includes an appropriate picture, 30 points

Here are the supplies needed for the sewing unit:

APRON (fabric with a nap such as: broadcloth, chambray, lightweight denim, gingham, poplin)

*ALL-PURPOSE thread to match

 Choose ONE (A, B, C, or D)

 A-  1 1/8 yd.

B-   7/8 yd. AND 3/8 yd. for lower pocket

C-   Apron 1 yd. AND 1 ½ yds. Medium rickrack

D-  7/8 yd. AND1/2 yd. for pocket

 PILLOWCASE

 *ALL-PURPOSE thread to match

 *¾ yard for body of pillowcase (use novelty fabric here)

*1/3 yard for end of pillowcase (may be a print, a solid, or more novelty fabric here)

*1/8 yard for accent strip (a bright solid works well)

We are making two projects.  Please get supplies for the following:

Shorts:

Acceptable Fabric: cotton and cotton blends, extra fabric is needed to match plaids, stripes, or one way designs.

Student Choice Project:

Students shuold choose another project.  Ideas can be approved by Miss Lloyd.  Many students have chosen to complete something from Simplicity Pattern 5105 (this pattern is provided).

Home Cooking Assignment

Students, remember to work on your home cooking assignment.  Many of you have shared ideas of things you have practiced at home!  Fantastic work!  Remember these are due December 9th.  With Thanksgiving just around the corner, this is a perfect opportunity to complete this assignment.  Good luck!

Monopoly Board

As part of the unit on self-esteem, we will be creating Monopoly Boards.  This project can be completed on poster board.  However, many have expressed an interest in purchasing a blank game board.  I will be happy to order these for you.  Please pay in the office and bring your receipt to me.  Please do this no later than October 22.
