The Holidays are Here!

November 27th, 2017 by amrose

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know here in class we are getting ready for the happiest time of year with Christmas tree writing, holiday themed art projects, and learning about Christmas traditions around the world for language arts. If you can answer my tricky Christmas themed math problem, a little surprise may be presented to you! (Put your answer in the comments. )

Santa writes a total of 33 poems in 5 days to give to Mrs. Claus. Assuming he writes the same number of poems each day, how many poems would he have written in 3 days? (Hint: Poems to not have to be completed in 1 day).

We’re off to a Great Start!

October 8th, 2017 by amrose

Our 5th grade year this far has been off to a great start! We had “Wheels Day” (our first prepared party of the year); a Fun Run (in which we met our class goal and earned a party); and are now enjoying making 5th grade’s annual Halloween haunted houses. We are making many new friends and learning the importance of being kind to one another. It’s been an awesome first quarter here in Mrs. Rose’s class!
