I think that the frst 2 chapters of this book is good because it talks about Katness and how she wishs that she could forget about the games and it also talks about Peeta and Gale alot.

  2. Brecklyn Boyer — January 27, 2012 @ 3:10 pm

Im reading the book catching fire the second book of the hunger games trilogy. It is by Suzzanne Collins. It is very good. What is happening is katniss who has survived the hunger games, along with peeta. is now back at district 12 however she is not happy. she and peeta do not speak to eachother anymore. And gale doesnt speak to her either. it is so sad. But things do not get better for anyone when president snow arrives with a death sentence for all that katniss loves.

  3. Brecklyn Boyer — January 27, 2012 @ 3:15 pm

I am reading Catching Fire, the second book to the hunger games trilogy. By Suzzanne colins. Im past the first half of the book. I LOVE THE HUNGER GAMES SO MUCH THEY ARE SO AMAZING! But an unexpected twist has happened.
WARNING IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE HuNGER GAMES OR CATCHING FIRE YET DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER THIS WILL SPOIL EVERYTHING!

Katniss is thrown back into the arena with all the other victors from the past hunger games. Along wih peeta. And this time. only on can survive.

  4. James — January 27, 2012 @ 4:54 pm

Honestly, I’d have to agree with Whitney. The first two chapters are great, but I think it will get a whole lot better. If it’s anything like the original Hunger Games, it’s going to be a great book. Although, I hate when it talks about Rue at the beginning. It’s like “Hello, I don’t want to bring up sad memories. Duh.” I hate reading about sad things, but eventually it has to be done.

  5. Rachel Smith — February 1, 2012 @ 9:00 pm

I love this book is is my fav. book in the whole wide world. I agree with both Whitney and James that the first chapters are about Katniss and her alway thinking about Peeta melark because he has been capsher by the capital and being torcher this very min. (in the book, not in really life) btw I think gale is such a better boy friend than peeta. this i smy forth time raeding this book!!!!!! IT IS THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. James — February 5, 2012 @ 1:04 pm

I’m almost done reading the book “Catching Fire”, and… wow, its such a great book! It’s a little more gory than the Hunger Games, but its really exiting and fast paced after the first while. I still have not finished it, but if only one survives, Peeta and Katniss are not going to have any fun afterwords. One of them dies, the other goes on to a life without the other, and its going to be really sad.

  7. James — February 5, 2012 @ 1:06 pm

(carries from first comment) With Peeta dead, Katniss will have to face his family and they’re going to be either mad or sad. If Katniss dies, Peeta will have to go on without the person he loves. It’s getting really intense, and I cannot wait to finish it.

  8. Brecklyn Boyer — February 6, 2012 @ 8:58 am

Im reading Catching Fire, well im actually done reading Catching fire, And its a seriously GREAT book! I love it! I Love how it ends alot, but i also hate it because it had to end! it just leaves you hanging there wanting to know more about what happened. And i Agree with you james cause that is so sad and who does like sad stuff like that, but honestly that is what makes the hunger games so good while its so sick and twisted with an idea of our worlds future.

  9. Brecklyn Boyer — February 6, 2012 @ 9:21 am

Like I said, Im In LOVE with the hunger games book! And Catching Fire is Amazing! oh wait i already said that, But its so true. Alot of people wont read the hunger games because of what a violent book it is, but its well worth the read. It changes the way you look into your future. Will we all stay the same or will we turn into this sickening bunch that makes up the capitol to throw our children into an arena to fight to the death for our entertainment? Or will we be the group of survivors who have to kill eachother for their joy? We know that the hunger games is exactly that sick minded future. And when Katniss and Peeta both come out of the games alive, it starts a rebelion. Continued in Catching fire when katniss finds how strong the rebelion to overthrow the capitol is. But now im gonna skip to the end of the book when they break from the arena. Why didnt they try to save peeta instead of katniss? was haymitch honestly trying to save katniss again? or was it out of their hands? did the capitol already capture peeta before they could do anything? or had the capitol purposely gotten peeta instead of katniss? And did haymitch’s crew do the opposite? what value is katniss? The rebelion no doubt, but anything more? Or better yet, Besides his words, What value is peeta to the capitol?

  10. Whitney — February 6, 2012 @ 6:21 pm

I love the hunger games! It is my fav. book by a long shot! :) All that has happend is president Snow is at Katness’s new house and he is mad that Katness and Peeta found away to bothe live in the hunger games because of there love for eachother, then Peeta found out that it was all a lie, well at first I belive :)

  11. Whitney — February 6, 2012 @ 6:27 pm

Katness and Peeta made it through the games but when president snow is watching and sees what happens, he is not very happy. I love the hunger games because you never know what is going to happen next, and I love how its romantic with Katness and Peeta, poor gale :(

  12. Whitney — February 6, 2012 @ 6:39 pm

I agree with James because I hate reading sad things, but it has to to be done sooner or later. I love the Hinger games sooo much, I can NOT wait for the movie to come out!

  13. Rachel Smith — February 18, 2012 @ 5:21 pm

I have read this book many times (three) and for this time i tired to look from peeta’s point of view. it (after he is in the quarter quail) he has been trying to make allies while katniss just wants some hippys from district three and a lady who is so old i don’t think she can walk. i think this is what peeta thinks. but they get stuck with a really hot guy from district 4. but i love this book read what happening next!

  14. Rachel smith — March 10, 2012 @ 2:43 pm

I love the hunger games books. they are my favorite books ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cant wait for the movie to come out on march 23! my favorite person in the book is prim because she is one of the only thing that keeps Katniss going. and i also like alot is gale because he has kept a family of five going for at least five years. and he seems he would be a better
    husband.

  15. Nick Jensen — September 30, 2012 @ 7:04 am

The first couple of chapters are really good the way that they describe everything, like President Snows smell and the way that Haymitches room smells and how Peeta look in shape and really strong. So far it has been really good I love it so far it is really what I hoped it was.

  16. Mikai Ricketts — October 1, 2012 @ 7:19 am

I am reading Cathing Fire, the second book of the Hunger Games Triology. Yes, Katniss won the Games and Gets to live in the Victor’s Village, so she should be happy right? Wrong, Peeta won’t talk to her, Gale won’t either and Katniss is having a very hard life. I read the first Chapter and it is already good! I got to a part that Katniss comes home and President Snow (The President of the Hunger Games) is standing in the doorway. Oh great… Katniss is already having a rough enough life. What going to happen next? I am curious!

  17. Kobe Davis — October 1, 2012 @ 7:28 am

I am loving this book so far:)!!!! I cant wait for the action though, the last book was very exciting! I have a feeling that something will happen.

  18. Madi Hayes — October 1, 2012 @ 5:21 pm

I loved The Hunger Games so I am excited about starting Catching Fire! I loved The Hunger Games because it was intence and unexpecting! I wonder if Cathing Fire will be as good as The Hunger Games!

  19. Madi Hayes — October 1, 2012 @ 5:27 pm

Catching Fire is crazy how intence everything is and how Katniss has to watch her back at all times! The capitol is out to get her and she is always sneaking out(which is against the law). She better be careful or she could be in a lot of trouble!

  20. Jaycee Stein — October 2, 2012 @ 1:01 pm

  34. Ted Larsen — October 15, 2012 @ 5:53 pm

Right now Katniss and Peeta have just made an aliance with Finick. And are now finding a safe place when Peeta shocks himself while slashing through the jungle and hit a force field. Finick starts to save Peeta and Katniss does not know what he is doing and almost kills Finick. He explaines to Katniss what he is doing and tells her to climb the tree to see what happened at the corniucopia.

  45. Hunter Wille — February 13, 2013 @ 9:16 am
