This book ir really good so far. But that would really suck to be at a place only surrounded by boys (or in my case girls) Also i wonder why every one thinks that the girl has something to do with Thomas i wonder if she really does??

  2. Elise — December 8, 2011 @ 7:26 pm

I am getting to the good part of the book and i am really starting to like it alot. That part where Ben attacks him was really kind of wierd and i still can’t figure out what is going on with that girl its wierd how she is the last one and everything that means that they have to get or they are just going to sit there and die its almost suspenceful.

  3. Elise — December 10, 2011 @ 10:53 am

AHH oh my i can’t belive he went into the maze! I can’t quite picture what the grivers are supposed to look like. They sound just so wierd! Like they are a machine but with all of the blubber and stuff its wierd.

  4. Nathaniel Foster — December 11, 2011 @ 9:50 pm

So far this book reminds me of the movie the Matrix for some reason. I wonder why the map room is made out of stone and steel. It is a pretty good book.

  5. Kayla — December 12, 2011 @ 6:55 pm

I love this book soooo much! We are only supposed to read like 30 pages every night, but it’s just so good I’m already past like page 200! we are supposed to be at the part where they hold a gathering, I think that is so dumb! For real like they’re going to banish him because he totally saved two peoples’ lives, not to mention one of them is their leader! I also think it was dumb for Thomas to go out into the maze. At that moment in time Thomas was kinda buggin’ me! I like Newt though!

  6. Talia — December 14, 2011 @ 10:26 am

I finished the book!!! It was amazing i really cant wait until i get the second book. But someone just had to take it before me! haha:) I cant belive that Thomas was able to get into the greiver hole and that they where able to all get safe….so they think!!

  7. Brynlee — December 14, 2011 @ 5:42 pm

This book is AmAzing! I have read way ahead! I’m almost done! I think its so weird how they can talk to each other in their heads! I can’t picture the greivers either… But they sound Gross! ANyway.. I love the book and can’t wait for the second book!

  8. Nathaniel Foster — December 15, 2011 @ 9:26 am

I finished the book two days ago, but I keep going back and reading spots over. I am ordering the second book off of Amazon.com.

  9. lfolker — December 15, 2011 @ 10:21 am

You can order all 3 books from Scholastic, too. I’ll be giving out book orders soon. Keep your eyes open!!! :)

  10. Brynlee — December 16, 2011 @ 3:29 pm

I finished it, It was so good! I can’t wait to get the second book! SO hurry and read it! :)

  11. Logan Jackson — December 16, 2011 @ 3:44 pm

This book is so good! I want to read ahead but I would not have anything to do for a few days in class. I am on pg. 280 the wax paper part. I know I am going to have to get the 2nd book after I finish.

  12. Nathaniel Foster — December 18, 2011 @ 8:38 pm

The ending of this book was terrible, it makes you want to read the second book but it also makes you not want to. The ending says that everyone lives happily ever after, but you know its not true so your curiosity makes you anxious for the next book.

  13. lfolker — December 19, 2011 @ 9:04 am

In some ways, isn’t that what a good book does???? Makes you want to read more….Makes you think…..
There is a line for my copy of Scorch Trials, but you can also order it for 9.00 from Scholastic. Let me know if you just can’t wait for your turn to read my copy!! :)
I think you are either 5th or 6th in line. Did you read the first chapter included at the end of the first book?

  14. talia reza — December 19, 2011 @ 7:31 pm

I cant wait to read the second book! the first two chapters that are shown in the scorch trials make me want to read it right away!! I cant wait until i get it i hope it turns out as good as this one is….but i guess the first book is usually better than the rest…but still i cant wait to read them!!

  15. Briana Franco — December 20, 2011 @ 2:03 pm

Oh my goodness! They have now finally got out, and now have to slove a new question? I wonder why they keep running into trouble. P.s. I miss chuck! :(

  16. Brynlee — December 20, 2011 @ 2:11 pm

This book reminds me of Hunger Games! In both books they are being controlleed by a higher person and they try to get out. If they only knew that the ‘bosses’ are still in control. I hope that these books end good… The 1st books ending frustrated me!! I can’t wait for the second book!

  17. Kayla — December 20, 2011 @ 4:15 pm

This book is SOOOO amazing! I love it, it’s so strange but cool, I agree Brynlee it reminds me of Hunger Games. By the way Mrs. Folker I have the second book 4th after Brynlee! I probably won’t be able to wait that long anyway! I love Chuck too, he’s like a big teddy bear! Who would’ve thought out of all this that’s happened that going in the Grievers hole would be the way out??? I’m reading slow though, I still have a couple of chapters to go…does it end up saying why in the world the code was those random words???

  18. Logan Jackson — December 20, 2011 @ 5:23 pm

I agree the end of the 1st book was a piece of klunk. Its like in movies were they just leave you hanging and you think about it until you forget about it. Then comes the 2nd movie/book.

  19. Cisco montes — December 21, 2011 @ 11:05 am

This book is really great! But it would suck to be in a HUGE maze. I would die because i wouldnt know how to get out but i think its weird how thomas kinda knows that girl that came to the glade. I want to know how he remembers her!

  20. Nathaniel Foster — December 21, 2011 @ 10:26 pm

I have Scorch Trials on hold at the Weber County Library, I hope it comes in over the winter break. I also really hate endings that leave you hanging just so you will read the next book in the series.

  21. cisco montes — December 22, 2011 @ 10:49 am

this book is probably the best book I’ve read so far! I’m kinda glad alby got the serum now he is in the changing :/ but thomas is now popular for living through the night in the MAZE

  22. Tamara — December 22, 2011 @ 1:20 pm

    Possible spoiler alert?
@ Nathaniel: ikr!? Im gonna borrow it from my cousin possibly.

I am very upset. I loved the book but a cannot believe the 1st 2 chapters of the scorch trials.

  23. Tamara — December 22, 2011 @ 1:23 pm

My group and I were all talking and I cannot believe that Chuck died! I loved him!! I don’t know though it would have sucked to have building up this image of your parents & then find out you’re an orphan. :(

  24. Tamara — December 22, 2011 @ 1:25 pm

I feel really behind. I just barely read Mrs. Folker’s post about ordering the books in shcolastic. But now my eyes are peeled and waiting.

  25. Tamara — December 22, 2011 @ 1:28 pm

Gally kinda scares me. I’m also A little confused, did Tom actually kill Gally or did he just go psycho on him and the cry?
Whoever these creators are, they are seriously messed up people.
P.S. what is gally short for? and Minho?
    Answer my questions Please!

  26. lfolker — January 2, 2012 @ 9:23 am

Are they actually short for anything?? I’m not sure. You’ll be interested in what you find out about the creators, I think. I don’t think he killed Gally, by the way.

  27. Logan Jackson — December 22, 2011 @ 1:36 pm

I wonder how far the runners ran every day. They ran like all day long. They had to at lest run a maraton each day. Crazy!

  28. Kayla — December 23, 2011 @ 2:05 pm

I CAN NOT believe that’s how the first two chapters of the second book start! This is such a crazy book…ugh…I just want to know all of the answers to all of my questions RIGHT NOW!!!!!

  29. Kayla — December 23, 2011 @ 2:08 pm

Another thing that bugs me is remember the first few nights in the Glade? It says Thomas feels familiar here like he’s been here before…well it never ends up saying why he felt that way or what that means…I hope it ends up saying like in the next book or something or else I’m going to be way upset!

  30. Elise — January 2, 2012 @ 4:40 pm

Oh Kayla I know what you are talking about! But not to brag.. The 2nd book explains it and also it is soooo good!! I was reading the first 5 or 6 chapters of it and there were so many OH’s and oh my gosh! Its so good.

  31. Elise — January 2, 2012 @ 4:43 pm

I think my favorite part in the maze runner would have to be well there is alot, so i would just have to say starting from when terrsa came up to like the end! so i don’t know the WHOLE book was good! :)

  32. talia reza — January 3, 2012 @ 3:16 pm

i cant wait to start reading the 3rd book! I hope it turns out as good as the first two and i am really glad that this is the last one. I really just want to find out what happens to thomas and the reasoning for the trials!!

  33. Elise — January 4, 2012 @ 7:13 pm

I would toatly recomend this book to any one and everyone. I made my mom read it after i was done with it and at first she thought well this looks just like a wierd teen book but then she finaly got into it andshe absluotly loved it!

  34. lfolker — January 5, 2012 @ 8:57 am

I’m glad that you got someone else to read it. I’d have to agree that it is a dang awesome book!!! Just wait until you have read all 3!! :)

  35. Brynlee — January 10, 2012 @ 5:00 pm

I just got the second book!! I can’t wait to read it! I hope it as good as the first. My favorite part was when Teresa talked in his head for the first time! I would recommmend this book to anyone!!

  36. Cisco — January 10, 2012 @ 10:14 pm

This Book Was Pretty Great Now time to read the rest of the series!! Hopefully we do a book club with that and hopefully they come out with a movie for the books that would be GREAT!!

  37. jerod gibson — April 15, 2012 @ 11:00 am

at first maze runner was really hard to follow and it made no sense, also i thought there was a book before this one so i was really lost.

  38. jerod gibson — April 15, 2012 @ 11:08 am

in my image grievers are fuzzy spheres with spikes that like to kill, what do you think please answer !!! (i also feel like im the only one in my group whos posted.

  42. Lucas Stevens — April 16, 2012 @ 6:31 am

I recommended this book to my sister and she’s almost done already. Its like once you start this book you can’t set it down.

  43. Lucas Stevens — April 16, 2012 @ 6:39 am

My least favorite part was when chuck died, but for the most part it was a sweat book.

  44. shaqur — April 23, 2012 @ 8:14 am

at fist it was boring but then it got exiting and cool. It would suck to lose your memory.

  45. shaqur — April 23, 2012 @ 8:18 am

if you like adventure book then this is the book for you.

  46. shaqur — April 23, 2012 @ 8:21 am

  47. jayden — May 1, 2012 @ 8:13 am

It was boring to me a lot of stuff i did not under stand. And everyone gets killed.

  48. jayden — May 1, 2012 @ 8:15 am

Why does he not remeber anything. And why does everyone he knows gets killed first then he gets killed.

  49. jayden — May 1, 2012 @ 8:18 am

What do thoose monsters look like and how the kill them. Also how lives in a maze that would be stupid.

  50. jayden — May 1, 2012 @ 8:19 am

So i think the maze runner was not a good book really. That is what i think.

  51. shaqur — May 3, 2012 @ 8:50 am

this book waa a good book

  52. shaqur — May 3, 2012 @ 8:52 am

Man, that book had me rollin. I couldnt set it down!!

  54. Leah Merrill — May 10, 2012 @ 9:38 pm

My favorite part was where Thomas goes in the maze for the first time, and is trapped all night(: That tops any other part of the book.

  55. Leah Merrill — May 10, 2012 @ 9:39 pm

This Book is soo good. I read like the first 3 chapters of the 2nd book. And it looks 10x better. so im excited.
