Undaunted Courage by Stephen E Ambrose

Book Jacket

If you are adventurous and like history the book “Undaunted Courage” fills the bill.  It is a story of the Lewis and Clark expedition from St. Louis Missouri to the Pacific Ocean and the area of Astoria, Oregon, all uncharted territory.  Thomas Jefferson wanted to chart the territory and chose Meriwether Lewis to be the leader.  He chose William Clark to be second in command.  This book vividly takes you on rivers, plains and into Indian country.  An Indian woman by the name of Sacajawea volunteered to travel with the party.  They had to cross many mountain ranges, including the high Rocky Mountains.  They successfully finished the trip.  I am sure that you would like it.
