Alphabet of Dreams by Susan Fletcher

Babak is a little kid who can see a person’s future if he has a piece of their clothing. His older sister struggles to keep him safe as they travel with a group to find the new-born king. It is set in the Middle East and has a great taste of culture. It was an interesting book that put a different perspective on an ages old story. I would recommend it to someone who is interested in learning about an olden day culture.

Trickster’s Choice by Tamora Pierce

Alianne, daughter of Alanna (Lioness Quartet), sets out to prove to herself and her parents that she can be just as good as them. She ends up in the Copper Isles trying to stay alive as a slave, while also saving many other lives. This book is just as good as Pierce’s other books and it is fun to read about the daughter of a character in another book.

Book Crush by Nancy Pearl

This book is cool because it is just lists of recommended reading. It’s divided by age and genre, so you can find books that are just what you want. It’s for teens and kids, and there is another book that is for adults.
