Physics Periods 1 & 7 ONLY

Today we dropped a mini-elevator model to see how it accelerated and learned how accelerations are represented on a Velocity-Time graph. The notes are in the video on Page 3.4 in Weber Online. (Period 7 also finished the lesson shown in Video 3.1 in Weber Online.) If you missed class, watch the video on Page 3.4 (start to 19 min.) (finish video 3.1 if you are in Period 7) and take notes (title: Participation 11/15). Turn in the notes and Mr. Ward will give you the missed participation points. No new assignment today.

Physics Periods 3, 4 & 5 ONLY

Today we went to the computer lab and worked on the “Velocity vs. Time Moving Man” worksheet. You can find the worksheet, simulation, and instruction video on Page 3.1 in Weber Online; CHECK YOUR ANSWERS from the worksheet in Assignment 3.1 on the same page online. Be aware that the simulation for this assignment runs in Java, so you may need to download that (see link at top right of this blog) or find a computer that runs Java (writing lab or library at school).

Earth Science

Today we did Part 4 of the lesson on the duration of sunlight. If you missed class, watch the video on Page 2.11.3 and fill out the “Guided Notes: Sunlight Duration” packet (download the packet on Page 2.11 in Weber Online if needed). Show Mr. Ward the part you did in the notes while watching this video and he will give you the missed participation points.

Today we  worked on repairing our grades. Participation points lost if you were absent. Get them back by making up two missing assignments and showing them to Mr. Ward. DO NOT just turn them in to the basket if you want points for 11/14; I need to see them, or at least stick a note to them asking for participation points for 11/14.
