Microsoft Lync has no sound sufficient to alert me to a message.
The layout of the contacts box is very hard to read and use.
When you click a contact to send a message, what’s with the huge useless white zone? It took me two days to find where to type in the 1/4 ”space at the bottom!
And no history? Really? I am always referring back to history. So now I’m back to hand writing notes to lose on my desk?
Sorry I sound so sassy. This is all just so frustrating –thanks for the outlet. Delete.

  • Hi Pam,this post is about Email,I don’t have Lync yet but I’ll make a tutorial on that after I am familiar with it :)
You should grab your School Tech and ask them some questions about customizing Lync to your needs, such as the small input space at the bottom. I imagine you can resize that just by dragging the border with your mouse.
I assume you can customize the audio alerts for receiving new messages too. Most teachers found them annoying during class when they would play over the speakers and interrupt, but there are probably ways to change that too.

    Thanks.
