Ogden Pioneer Days Parade Info (Monday, 25 July 16)

Here is the information that was given at the Superband Practice today.    If you were unable to attend the practice today — you can still participate in the parade on Monday — make sure that you can still play “Safe and Sound” MEMORIZED and show up!!!   We will put you in the group.   Today we had 54 wind players, 40 percussion and 20 color guard attend the practice.   Sounded very nice and looked pretty good for a first time combined group.   Here is the itinerary for MONDAY, 25 JULY:

8am:   be at 32nd and Washington (East side of street) READY to warm up.   All main roads will be blocked,  you will need to use the back roads to get here.   Look for Mr. Windsor, Jeff, Shamra, Caitlyn and/or Ian.    We will be there early.   Be in your summer parade uniforms WITH hats.   Sunglasses are okay – just like the Cherry Days Parade.

9 am:  Parade starts.   We are entry #52, roughly half way through the parade.

11 am:  approximate time.  Parade ends.   Have your rides pick you up at Washington and 21st Street (west side of street).   This is the end of the parade.

ALL DRUMLINE MEMBERS:  please remember to be ready to review our “Tadpole” cadence.   We would like to add this to the parade performance.

ALL BAND MEMBERS:  please keep/stay hydrated this weekend.   It will be hot on Monday.   Drink lots now to be prepared.

FINALLY — Guard/Percussion sections.   You have your camps next week (TUES – THURS).   Please check calendar on website for details.   During this camp you will be learning routines (guard), fitted for uniforms (guard) and percussion will be learning more technique and start show music.   Please be prompt and come with a positive attitude.

Enjoy your weekend and see you all on MONDAY @  8 am.
