1/3 Learn to tell what different people like to do, using different forms of “gustar”
(PowerPoint with oral practice questions, then assignment: Write 5 sentences about different people, telling different activities that they like to do. )
1 /4 Read your sentences from yesterday, then do 1st semester post-assessment.
1 /5 Discuss Final Exam Questions, work on answering them. (questions are posted on Mr. Powell’s blog)

1/8– 1/10 Oral Final Exam
Retesting for oral final exam is Thursday 1/12 at 7:15 a.m, during flex time (with a purple pass), or at 2:35 p.m.
1/11 Auction for prizes – bring your pesos! (Also, makeup for oral final exam)
1/12 No school!!!

1/16 Discuss third term projects.
Then learn the definite and indefinite articles. (See unit 4 handout).
1/17 Worksheet – definite and indefinite articles.

Food, Fun, and Games!

Christmas Party for all Spanish students on Thursday, Dec. 14
2:40 p.m- 3:30 p.m. (Cleanup 3:20-3:30)

Pay $2 in the office to come enjoy Mexican Food, and drinks.

(Cost would be $5 each, but we are paying for most of it from the fundraiser)

(or bring your own Hispanic food (Mexican, Argentine, Tex-Mex, etc.)

12/1 Quiz – Unit 3 vocabulary. Do practice worksheet if you need to retest.

12/4 Sing song: “Juan Paco Pedro de la Mar.” Learn it for extra credit.

12/5 Numbers worksheet
12/6 Practice song: “Juan Paco Pedro de la Mar,” learn it for extra credit,
then work on learning numbers up to 100. (oral review)
12/7 Practice song: “Juan Paco Pedro de la Mar,” sing it for extra credit,
then work on learning numbers up to 100. (oral review, “banana” game)
12/8 Practice numbers up to 100 (oral activity: counting by 9s, 10s, and 11s – the numerals
will be written on the board so you only have to know how to say them in Spanish, you
don’t have to know how to count by 9s). Then play Bingo in Spanish.

12/11 Quiz on numbers from 0 to 100. Do practice worksheet if you need to retest.
Also sing “Días de Navidad.”
[Learn this or one of the other Christmas Carols we will sing this week to sing for extra credit.]
12/12 Sing “Mi Querido Santo Clos.” Learn vocabulary for snack foods and free-time activities
(PowerPoint and handout). Then write a list of 10 activities that you like (“Me gusta”)
and 10 activities that you don’t like (“No me gusta”).
(write only 1 item per line so you can add other details later)
12/13 Sing “Noche de Luz.” Learn vocabulary for “how often” you do things.
For each item on your “Me Gusta” list from yesterday, write how often you that activity.
12/14 Sing Cascabel.” Learn vocabulary for “when” or “with whom” you do things.
For each item on your “Me Gusta” list, write “when” or “with whom” you do them.
12/15 Sing “Feliz Navidad a Todos.” Learn additional ways to talk about likes and dislikes –
including what you love and what you hate. Add these items on to the things in your
“me gusta” / “no me gusta” lists.
