Take Note:

  • Just a reminder, Tuesday is our “Block” day now. That means that now we have library, p.e & computer lab that day instead of Thursday. So be sure to wear or bring tennies and return library books on TUESDAYS.
  • Mark your calendars… Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up! They will be held on Jan. 29-31 because of a conflict in scheduling. I’m looking forward to meeting with all of you.
  • Early Out Days will still be held: Feb. 7-9.
  • Box Top Store; Feb. 2.


  1. Practice spelling and vocabulary words,
  2. Read 20 minutes each night. Please fill out and return the trackers weekly.
  3. Spelling City 4.1 activities
  4. Math practice: Module 4 lessons 18-22. *All students need to practice basic addition and subtraction facts!

This Week’s Story: “Splish, Splash, Animal Baths”. This week we will be discussing the needs of animals.

 Vocabulary Words:

itches: tickling feelings in the skin that make one want to scratch

puddles: small pools of water, especially rainwater

preen: to smooth or clean feathers with the beak or bill

nibble: to bite gently or to take small bites
