Today 9th grade students voted on the book selection for our spring Lit Circles. The first quarter of the book must be read by April 26, so if you are borrowing it from the library, plan accordingly. If you are ordering the book, you should allow at least two weeks for delivery. Please let me know as soon as possible if you will not be able to procure the book. I may be able to get a copy or you could change to one of our classroom sets of books.

9th graders! Please think about a fiction book that you have read and would recommend to your fellow classmates. Write down the title and author as well as a brief synopsis/explanation of why you are recommending the book. We will use these to select the 4 or 5 books we will read in small group “Lit Circles.” Please choose books that are around a 9th grade level, school appropriate, at least 200 pages, and that have not been read by the whole class already. Book recommendations are due Friday at the start of class.

Please don’t forget to come to class with a recommendation for a book to read for Lit Circles. You should know the title and author and be able to explain why we should read the book. You don’t have to bring a physical copy of the book, but you can if you want.
