Updated Mineral Song Words

Mineral Song

Somebody once told me the world is full of minerals
I really didn’t know much about them
So I got myself a textbook and did a little research and this is what the research said:

Yo- Diamonds are the hardest
Talc is the softest
According to Moh’s scale
Or you can scratch it
There’s color, luster, and cleavage judging how the rock breaks into pieces
Quartz is common
Rubies are rare
But Minerals are found everywhere
My world’s on fire, how about yours
Learning about rocks and I never get bored

• Hey now, we’re the minerals
We’re the building blocks – of rocks

Hey now, we’re the minerals
We have a chemical make-up

And all that glitter is gold
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend

Bits of minerals – are found in rocks
But rocks contain no specific structure
So how do you classify rocks? You say
Look how there made today
Rocks will change
Don’t stay the same
They cycle through most everyday
My world’s on fire, how about yours
Learning about rocks and I never get bored

• Hey now, we’re the minerals
We’re the building blocks – of rocks

Hey now, we’re the minerals
We have a chemical make-up

And all that glitter is gold
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend

Christmas Tree Jubilee

Nov-9-2011 By mchertudi

If you are not going anywhere over the holidays, I have a
great suggestion for you.  The Christmas
Tree Jubilee is a great activity for families to participate over the
Thanksgiving Break. You can enjoy (or buy) beautifully decorated trees that
have been donated to help students with special needs in Weber School District.
There is also a great gift boutique and activities for kids. Also, my choir
(Lomond View Choir) will be performing Wednesday the 23rd at 6:00 at
the Christmas Tree Jubilee. Come enjoy our singing!
