Today in class we had a debate from the government of Flint and the people.  If you were not here today, introduce someone to the Flint water crisis and discuss your opinions with them.  Some ideas might be what role did the citizens play, what role did the government play, what should be done now?

We then went over the first 2 water testing techniques from the April 16-20 powerpoint.  We will be testing water tomorrow and Thursday for water quality.

For the first half of the class we went over the test; if you have any questions about your test, come see me AFTER SCHOOL to go over them.

****There is also an assignment on google classroom called “Population Simulation” on google classroom that will need to be completed over the weekend.  To ensure that the simulation works, try opening the page in google chrome (chrome typically has the flash player updated).  If not, google “how to update adobe flashplayer” and it should give you instructions on how to update it.  I put the assignment in red so that you should just have to type the answers in black.****

After introducing the assignment we started this video about Flint Michigan.  Next week we will be going into different biotic/abiotic tests that are used to determine if our drinking water is safe.  Watch the video and be grateful that you don’t currently live in Flint.
