Cool website

Hi, Sarah.  I found this resource awhile ago but just took a look at it again today.  The Georgia public schools have a website on SLPs and the common core, the part I like is the checklists by grade level near the bottom of the page.  They are great to quickly see the common core standards at a glance.  I used it today to help with some goals I am writing for a 5th grade student who I am planning on moving to a monitor next fall.  The checklist are set up to be given to teachers to get an idea of where a student might be struggling.  I have never used them that way, but I bookmarked the page for future reference and thought other SLPs might find it helpful.  Here is the website http://www.gosslp.org/?21 .

Thanks,

Angela Allred

I added this to our website list on the side of the blog ——–>

Thanks Angela!

12/16/14 Meeting

Thank you to everyone that shared their fabulous ideas at our meeting this week! I love to hear what other people are doing. I have posted everything that Rachel sent to me under the categories they belong in. So for example: The list of /r/ words from Rebecca will be under “Articulation” the referral tracker will be listed under “Pre-referral Interventions” etc. Let me know if there is something you are looking for that you can’t find and I will let you know where I put it.

Thanks!

Sarah

P.S. We forgot to take a picture for this year!!! LAME!!

Call for New Materials!

A big shout out to Monique Putnam for sending in a great /r/ progress report (found under the data sheet page) as well as a great Referral tracking form (found under the IEP Forms page). She had updated them this year and so decided to send them in. This is a good reminder for us all to remember to share when we create something that would be helpful for everyone. Many hands makes for light work….or something like that, right?!

So send anything you would like to share to scox@wsd.net

Thanks!

Sarah
