Unfortunately, due to lack of interest from our students, the school-wide ski day we had planned has been canceled.  In years past, we have had nearly 70% of our students participate in our ski days.  However, this year, just over 80 students signed up by the deadline to participate in the ski day.  This is just over 20% of our students.  With so few participating, we simply cannot justify having a school-wide ski day for all of our students when only 20% indicated they would participate.  This is especially unfortunate since Wolf Mountain Ski Resort had so generously agreed to allow all of our students to ski for FREE (the only cost would have been for the bus and any rental equipment). 

We apologize for canceling the field trip, but with the lack of interest we were left with no choice.  Any money already paid to the office for the field trip will be refunded back to the student on Friday, February 18.

Current 7^th and 8^th grade students will begin registering for their classes for the 2011-12 school year towards the end of January.  Please look for information to come home with your student around that time.  If you do not see any, please don’t hesitate to call the school to get the information (801-476-5360).

Current 9^th grade students will meet with Counselors from Weber High on January 20^th at 8:00 AM in the gym at Snowcrest.  Counselors will go over information and conduct an orientation for students.  Parents are also welcome to attend.  Registration materials for the upcoming school year will be handed out and need to be returned by January 26^th.

The new school year is off to a great start.

 Already it is less than one month until registration for the next school year!  Parents and students can register online at any time prior to the actual physical registration held at Snowcrest.  To do so, go to the Weber School District Homepage and follow the links on the “Registration Forms” link.  The web address is http://www.weber.k12.ut.us/

Registration at the school (where you can drop of completed forms, pick up student schedules and pay fee’s in person if you would rather not pay them online) will be August 4th.  Times will be:

7th Grade Students – 8:00 to 9:00 AM

8th Grade Students – 9:00 to 10:00 AM

9th Grade Students – 10:00 to 11:00 AM

There will be a Welcome Back Stomp from 4:00 to 6:00 PM that same day (August 4) for Snowcrest students only.  All current Snowcrest students are invited to come to the PTO sponsored stomp.
